Cyborg Remake Minus Van Dammage
Remember when Jean Claude Van Dammage was an actual, real life action movie star and not some over weight depressed man who cries a lot on ITV2?

If you don't, well frankly I pity you because along with Seagal, Dudikoff and Bosworth he was one of the better 'underground' stars over shadowed by the Schwarzeneggers, Stallones and Willis's.

X-Men First Class New Trailer
This is shaping up and looking to be one of the best films to watch this year. X-Men First Class seems to have a new trailer out each week but this one gives us a better look at the characters and storyline.

We all know, or at least should know, that Professor X and Magneto were friends before they were enemies and the film looks to show their relationship deteriorating in very stylistic fashion.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 Trailer
As I think I've previously mentioned I've yet to see a Harry Potter film all the way through. I casual watch bits whenever they're on TV but that's about as indulgent as I get with it.

Well the trailer for The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is now online and I have to admit it looks very good. All dark and eerie with a huge sense of dread. As I said, not bad at all.

Review: Battle: Los Angeles (12A) ★★★
A Marine Staff Sergeant who has just had his retirement approved goes back into the line of duty in order to assist a 2nd Lieutenant and his platoon as they fight to reclaim the city of Los Angeles from alien invaders.

Sometimes I go into films knowing what to expect.

Our Idiot Brother Trailer
Now this looks good. This looks really good. Hey Everyone, come see how good this looks! Ok a tenuous Anchorman quote links to Paul Rudd's (Brian Fantana - keep up!) new movie Our Idiot Brother.

In what would appear to be a indie cousin of Little Miss Sunshine (yes it's by the same producers) and we have Rudd having a ball of a time as an ... *coughs* idiot stoner brother.

The Alan Partridge Movie Is Coming Next Year.
Ahh Haaaa. The phrase that has followed Steve Coogan since creating the legendary Alan Partridge will now ring out through Cinemaplexes from next year.

The man himself has broken the silence on the forever muted Partridge movie saying this:

Green Lantern Problems
I posted the latest trailer for The Green Lantern a good few weeks ago and didn't think too much to it. Well it seems neither did anyone else, especially Warner Bros.

With a mere two months to go before the official release Warner Bros have stumped up a further $9 million  to 'fix' the current special effects. Ouch.

Immortals Trailer
Remember 300? Well want to see a movie that looks exactly  like that? Immortals could well be the film for you then my friend.

Everything about this trailer reminds me of 300 with a tinge of Clash Of Titans mixed in for good measure. The difference being that the characters are far more overly camp than either of them. And that says alot about 300.

Arnold Back As The Terminator
This isn't a wind up, this is fact. Arnold Schwarzenegger, 63, has signed on for another outing as the fabled Terminator. Can't say I'm excited about this.

Since he stepped down as the Governor he's apparently been mulling over various projects, some old familiar roles and others new and so it seem's he opted to go back to his roots.

We're on holiday now and will return next week. Enjoy the Easter break everyone!!

Cowboys & Aliens Full Trailer
I'm on a roll today. Two awesome trailers for your eyes to absorb. Here's the full theatrical trailer for Cowboys & Aliens and it looks brilliant. Fantastically brilliant.

You get a better look at the characters, storyline and even the briefest glimpses of the aliens, but thankfully it doesn't over-step into spoiler territory.

Casa De Mi Padre Trailer
Chances are you'll either love or hate Will Ferrell's brand of humour. I love it. I think he's a comedy genius and everything he touches turns to comedic gold.

So imagine my surprise when I found out that a new trailer was around for his new film Casa De Mi Padre where it would appear he speaks in Spanish throughout. Serious.

The Hobbit Video Diary 1
I'll be following this right up to the release of the first film and to be frank I couldn't be more excited and thrilled to see The Hobbit production finally start.

It seemed that it could all potentially fall apart because of MGM's financial problems but everything came good and we're now officially under way.

Bradley Cooper Is The Crow
Serious mis-casting alert anyone? My alarm bells are certainly ringing after news emerged that Bradley Cooper (The Hangover & The A-Team) appears to be in negotiations to play the lead in The Crow remake. Yikes!

The original Crow movie is just fantastic. Dark, brooding and atmospheric as hell underpinned by a great central performance by Brandon Lee.

Yoda + Ewok = Mogwai?
Here's an interesting picture which raises lots of question surrounding Yoda's sexual preferences and also where Gizmo actually did originate from..

Turns out Yoda liked to frequent Endor many times, and there's a reason for this. He had a secret family hidden away there. Yes, it's on the internet so it must be true!

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer
Can't say I'm all that impressed if I'm honest. The first trailer for Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes has gone online and it all seems very much underwhelmed.

Maybe because it's technically a teaser and there's no real substance on show makes me not really warm to it but seriously is that it?

Priest Trailer
If ever there was a trailer that screamed at you "please watch this, look it's got loads of stuff you've seen in other movies, that should interest you!" then its the latest Priest Trailer.

Seriously, there doesn't appear to be a drop of originality in this trailer. What you see will remind you of every other action/vampire/religious movie only that they've done it much better.

The Woman In Black Teaser Trailer
A teaser trailer has been released for Daniel Radcliffe AKA Mark Hamil's new movie The Woman In Black. Ok, that's a little unfair but you see what I mean.

In what is supposedly the most chilling ghost story of our time we'll see Radcliffe try and shake off the ghosts of Harry Potter's past. Unfair again. Sorry.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes
Tis a rather slow news day today and as such this lull is highlighted by this four second, that's four second, clip from the new Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.

The prequel has been quietly meandering along without much publicity but from tomorrow there will be a full featurette released. Until then you have this four second clip.

Melancholia Trailer
I like Lars Van Trier. Yes his films aren't to everyone's taste and yes sometimes he goes over the top, but he's such an interesting film-maker you can't help but be interested.

With everyone still getting over Antichrist Van Trier has been busy making his version of a disaster movie. Yes that's right, Lars Van Trier has made a end of the world movie.

The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec Trailer
Here's a nice little trailer I've come across. Now it's being marketed as Indiana Jones meets Amelie but forget all the nonesense, it looks great without that marketing hype.

It's Luc Besson behind the camera again and from the look of the trailer it would appear he's gone for an all out fun adventure film with a hint of sophistication.

Kneel Before Zod!
Superman's main villain has been cast. Rumours foretold that General Zod was to be the character but nobody seemed to come close as to guessing who would play him.

Well, now we can reveal that the character actor who will be filling Terence Stamp's old space shoes will be Michael Shannon.

Warrior Trailer
The Best Of The Best. Kickboxer. No Retreat, No Surrender. Bloodsport. Hell even Rocky. This is what I recall when I watch the trailer for Warrior.

Now that's not to say its a bad thing, all guilty pleasures, and judging from what warrior is bringing to the Octagon, it looks like it intends to be just that.

Anonymous Trailer
This is an interesting looking film, and what adds a little more curiosity to it is that it's directed by Roland Emmerich.

So, no, this isn't a disaster or an alien/creature invasion movie but more an interesting period piece that deposits the idea that William Shakespeare didn't actually write any of his plays.

First Fright Night Images Surface
The remake of Fright Night seems to have been plodding along rather silently with little to no information being released. This can sometimes be a bad sign.

However today we get a look at most of the main characters, with the exception of Peter Vincent, and as always with these types of releases there's not much to them.

Back To The Future - Rock!
Do you like 80's rock music? Do you also like the Back To The Future movies? Do you want to see a perfectly synch'd rock song with all three said movies?

Of course you do and it just so happens that I have that on the menu for my first course of Friday here on the blog. Oh and if you feel the need to air punch while watching, please go right ahead.

Review: Hobo With A Shotgun (18) ★★★
A homeless vigilante blows away crooked cops, pedophile Santas, and other scumbags with his trusty pump-action shotgun.

Hobo With A Shotgun was originally a fake trailer associated with Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse project. It won it's competition and was chosen to be tagged along with Edgar Wright, Eli Roth and others additions.

When Harry Met Sally 2: Grampires
This isn't what you expect. No trust me, I had to add the Grampires to end of the title just to even get you interested, admit it right?

Billy Crystal and Rob Reiner come up with a potential sequel to When Harry Met Sally except some movie exec wants to add something a little different. Nothing big.

This really is a great gag and to be honest Billy Crystal should be in more films, his comedic timing has no match.

Crazy, Stupid, Love Trailer
I don't normally buy into any form of romantic comedy. I tend to find the characters annoying, self righteous and utterly unbelievable. We all know he/she will get the girl/boy in the end, so why do we sit through them?

Rom-Coms are strange, what other genre would you sit through when you already know the story, how the characters will develop and the ending. You wouldn't accept it in any other genre would you?

Deschain Locked In?
Well it looks like we can finally put this to bed and look forward to a heap load more casting news as Javier Bardem has signed on for the the role of Roland Deschain in Ron Howards Dark Tower series.

I've posted several stories surrounding this particular character as I know the site has quite a large number of Dark Tower fans so I'm sure they'll be looking forward to the next round of rumours.

The Green Lantern Trailer
I really don't know what to type with regards the latest Green Lantern trailer. I really don't. Do I like it? I don't know. Do I dislike it? I ..... don't think I do, but then I'm not sure.

I've never read the comics and know next to nothing about the story or character so I'm not best placed to judge how good or bad this trailer looks.

Bill & Ted 3
Keanu Reeves has been championing this for a while now with little hints here and there but more recently he's announced an actual script exists and there's a basic plot for Bill & Ted 3. Excellent!

Or not depending on your fondness for the two previous outings of the bodacious pair. I was always more a fan of Wayne and Garth than Bill and Ted, however that's not to say I didn't moderately enjoy their films.

The Governator - Trailer
It wasn't an April fool, sadly it was the real deal, and to prove it here's the trailer for Arnold's new animated series The Governator.

I've watched it, I can't un-watch it, but I wish I could. I have no idea what this is all about, why it's come about and most of all how it got greenlit. Why didn't someone stop this nonsense before it started?

The Hangover 2 Full Trailer
It's been released. A mere couple of weeks after the release of the teaser the new full trailer for the Hangover 2 has appeared online.

Yes, it's what you and I were expecting, the same stuff from the original all over again but in a different country. I'm very underwhelmed with this.

Thunder .... Thunder .... Thundercats Hooooooo!
So this isn't strictly movie news but it's fun none the less - There's a trailer for the new Thundercats animated TV Series just premièred and boy it brings back memories.

All the old characters seem to be in place with the one major change being Snarf. It would appear he doesn't have a human voice but rather a native animal dialect.

Damn It Cohaagen Give Those People Air!
With Colin Farrell tied in to replace Arnold Strong as Douglas Quaid in the upcoming Total Recall remake it's also come to light that Vilos Cohaagen may well have been cast.

Bryan Cranston, who you'll probably remember as Hal from Malcolm In The Middle, looks to have been cast as the villainous Cohaagen.

Arnold Is The Governator
April fool or not it seems that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be teaming up with Stan Lee to bring us some exciting adventures of The Governator. Buh?

Arnold will voice the character in a set of cartoons which will revolve around his political life and his acting life. I say again ... Buh?

Here's what the Austrian Oak had to say

Monsters University
We're back so lets crack on at pace. The new Monsters Inc film has had its titled announced and a brief snippet of the storyline.

Monsters University will be a prequel to the original Pixar smash and will tell the story of how Mike and Sulley became good friends.

Disney's Dave Hollis released the following
