Well that didn't take long. A mere week after Quentin Tarantino's new movie title and synopsis was released we have our first real casting rumour.
We already know that Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson (of course) were odds on to star but news has emerged that Will Smith is now courting the titual role of freed slave Django.

Ron Howard's Dark Tower In Trouble?
Well it's a very slow news day today and the only thing that I can find that's even remotely interesting is a little bit of doom and gloom news I'm afraid.
News has emerged that Ron Howard's adaptation of Stephen King's series of Dark Tower novels has hit a stumbling block.

Review: Red Riding Hood (12A) ★★★
Plot
Set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, a young girl falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family's displeasure.
Review
The director of Twilight bring us a sort of ‘Werewolf whodunnit’ , very loosely based on the famous children’s fairytale.

Review: MacGruber (15) ★★
Plot
Ex-special operative MacGruber is called back into action to take down his archenemy, Dieter Von Cunth, who's in possession of a nuclear warhead and bent on destroying Washington, D.C.
Review
With comedy comes a fine line. Get it right and you hit the mark but get it wrong and you lose your entire audience.

New Green Lantern Trailer
I really don't have much more time for this to be honest. The Green Lantern looks laughable. The stories I've published haven't had any comments or interest and I think everyone agrees.
Cringe worthy CGI, a completely miscast Ryan Reynolds and a villain who looks like one of the guys out of the old Tefal adverts. Awful. Just awful.

Arnold's New Film Will Be ....
It's not what you were expecting. It's not the Terminator as was previously rumoured. It's not a remake of an old favourite It's actually a new script which sounds pretty good.
The film is called Cry Macho. Now the synopsis has been released for the film but as this is in its infancy expect alot of changes. Still it's an interesting read.

New Conan The Barbarian Trailer
So at last we get our first real taste of what the new Conan movie will look like and from the looks of it it's going to be a completely different ride to Arnold's original adventure.
This is a lot more polished, slicker and high budget than the original but then we already new that it would be and to be fair I think it looks pretty good.

Star Wars Day - Blu-Ray Extra's Revealed
Good news for anyone who's pre-ordered the Star Wars Blu-Ray's (or is planning to) today as Lucasfilm has officially announced all the extras that will be bundled with all six films.
Sadly there's no extra scene where Jar Jar gets tortured and then burned alive but never-the-less there really is whole load of Warsy goodness to be had.

Star Wars Day - Rare Behind The Scenes Pictures
To celebrate the unofficial Star Wars day I've put together a few rare behind the scenes pictures for your viewing entertainment.
Some you may have seen before, others your hopefully seeing for the first time. My personal favourite? Han riding in the Empire Strikes Back buggy.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Trailer
Bayhem. For those that don't know what that means, it's a term used to describe Michael Bay's action sequences and probably this new trailer for Transformers.
I think it's fair to say that the first two Transformers films haven't been widely embraced. Loud, noisy films with little to no plot and the second bordering on out right racism. So what will Mr Bay do to reverse this trend?

Tarantino's New Film Gets A Title
After returning to form with Inglorious Basterds a recently leaked twitter image of Quentin Tarantino's script for his new film has surfaced revealing it's title.
Django Unchained will be the directors next project and is said to his Western that's been muted for some time. This was verified by Tarantino's agency Indie Wire.

Anchorman 2 - Still A Possibility?
The last we heard Anchorman 2 was dead in the water. Paramount weren't interested in stumping up the cash and that was that. Or so we thought.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Will Ferrell was asked about the sequel and if he thought it would ever get going. He had this to say:

30 Minutes Or Less Trailer
Here's another trailer that seems to have passed me by and for the life of me I have no idea how I missed it.
For starters it has Danny Mcbride (comedy genius), Jesse Eisenberg (brilliant) and Aziz Ansari (hilarious) cast which automatically should alert anyone's 'good film' radar.

Cyborg Remake Minus Van Dammage
Remember when Jean Claude Van Dammage was an actual, real life action movie star and not some over weight depressed man who cries a lot on ITV2?
If you don't, well frankly I pity you because along with Seagal, Dudikoff and Bosworth he was one of the better 'underground' stars over shadowed by the Schwarzeneggers, Stallones and Willis's.

X-Men First Class New Trailer
This is shaping up and looking to be one of the best films to watch this year. X-Men First Class seems to have a new trailer out each week but this one gives us a better look at the characters and storyline.
We all know, or at least should know, that Professor X and Magneto were friends before they were enemies and the film looks to show their relationship deteriorating in very stylistic fashion.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 Trailer
As I think I've previously mentioned I've yet to see a Harry Potter film all the way through. I casual watch bits whenever they're on TV but that's about as indulgent as I get with it.
Well the trailer for The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is now online and I have to admit it looks very good. All dark and eerie with a huge sense of dread. As I said, not bad at all.

Review: Battle: Los Angeles (12A) ★★★

A Marine Staff Sergeant who has just had his retirement approved goes back into the line of duty in order to assist a 2nd Lieutenant and his platoon as they fight to reclaim the city of Los Angeles from alien invaders.

Our Idiot Brother Trailer
Now this looks good. This looks really good. Hey Everyone, come see how good this looks! Ok a tenuous Anchorman quote links to Paul Rudd's (Brian Fantana - keep up!) new movie Our Idiot Brother.
In what would appear to be a indie cousin of Little Miss Sunshine (yes it's by the same producers) and we have Rudd having a ball of a time as an ... *coughs* idiot stoner brother.

The Alan Partridge Movie Is Coming Next Year.
Ahh Haaaa. The phrase that has followed Steve Coogan since creating the legendary Alan Partridge will now ring out through Cinemaplexes from next year.
The man himself has broken the silence on the forever muted Partridge movie saying this:

Green Lantern Problems
I posted the latest trailer for The Green Lantern a good few weeks ago and didn't think too much to it. Well it seems neither did anyone else, especially Warner Bros.
With a mere two months to go before the official release Warner Bros have stumped up a further $9 million to 'fix' the current special effects. Ouch.
