José Padilha has signed on to direct with Josh Zetumer as screenwriter. Who? I hear you cry out, well errrmm Padilha directed Bus174 and Elite Squad, that's about it and Zetumer hasn't written anything. Good grief.
Robocop is a classic. It has a massive fan base and was completely original for its time. Unfortunately it also spawned some god awful sequels and an abomination of a TV series. Oh and a cartoon, good god yes the cartoon.
The film however was that good that it survived all the above and remains untarnished, shocking and brilliant even today. I like to give all films a chance, to some degree, but I simply can't relate to the reasons behind this decision at all. What do you think?
