Stephen King's The Stand
With The Dark Tower production slowly churning along comes the news that another Stephen King adaptation is in the works.

The Stand, a post apocalyptic tale about a group of characters who survive a killer virus that has wiped out most of America, has been green lit by Warner Bros and CBS Films.

The Stand has been developed before, most notably back in nineties when King adapatations were all the rage (The Tommy Knockers, IT, Needful Things), but this looks to be on a much larger scale.

The question is though can the book transfer to one film or will it have to be spread over more like Kill Bill 1 & 2. Only time will tell but we'll keep an eye open for any more news.
