Javier Bardem Offered Deschain Role?

Playing catch up at the moment so here's a story from a couple of days ago regarding Ron Howard's Dark Tower project.

Sources are reporting that Javier Bardem has officially been offered the role of Roland Deschain and they are awaiting a response back.


Even though Howard and Co have yet to have an official green light from Universal they seem to be plowing ahead regardless with the casting but lets face it, who isn't going to pick this up?
