Evangeline Lilly and Dame Edna Join The Hobbit

Shake your head and rub your eyes again. Yes that title hasn't deceived you it's 100% true and confirmed Evangeline Lilly has joined The Hobbit cast. Along with Dame Edna. Hang on what?

Lilly is due to star as an elf specifically written for the movie whereas Barry Humphries is set to star as a Goblin King. Talk about left field.

Its a good job Jackson has a proven track record with the LOTR movies otherwise I'd have thought that he'd gone quite mad. Barry Humphries doesn't really have an extensive movie CV but Jackson's obviously seen something he likes.

Humphries is set to do the Andy Serkis./Gollum thing and act out the role through performance capture which sounds alot more intelligent.

Is it me or is everyone else trying to picture Dame Edna in Tolkien's world? Only me? thought so.
