Well that looks to be changing as it would appear that a movie based on Peter Buckley's career is in the works. Not heard of him? What if I told you he's dubbed 'The Worst Boxer Of All Time'. Interested now?
Thought so. Mr Buckley's professional fight record stands at 32 wins (not bad) 12 draws (must have been close) and 256 losses (I'm sorry, what?). Yup, you can now see why he's labelled the worst.
I like the idea of this. Boxing films seem to be pretty generic, underdog comes good and wins. I would assume that those sort of scripts are easy to write, but a story based on someone who constantly loses and is not a comedy? Well that's intriguing.
There's not much more details on this but will keep an eye on developments.
