Fox is refusing to collaborate with Sutherland and with a lack of director, script and well errr everything else you need to make a movie, this looks to be wishful thinking on Sutherland's part.
I'm unsure whether or not a 24 movie would work. The TV series was awesome (although I missed the last few seasons) and I feel it worked due to the fact that it was real time and that allowed the plot and characters to work and gel. Condensing this down into a two hour format may fall flat, but who knows, if anyone can, Jack Bauer can!
