Official Plot Released For Prometheus

They've been teasing us for some time about the plot details for Prometheus, Ridley Scott's Alien follow up, but now the studio have released the official details.

I posted a story about a supposed plot leak a few months back but this, as far as most people are aware, is now the real deal.

So here goes:

"Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.”

Still not too much to go on but at least we get a glimpse at what to expect.

No word on what the Alien(s) will look like, if indeed there are any, or if the famed Space Jockey will make an appearance, but we can all hope.

This thing can't come soon enough!
