Well the guy who's just written Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and the Tim Burton (Ah a connection!) Dark Shadows film looks to have moving forward with the reboot.
No details on what the story will be or cast news - its far, far, too early for that - but the message they're sending out at the moment is “reboot by advancing the storyline of the original”. Hmmm.
Call me sceptical but I don't think this will go anywhere. A film was muted a few years ago with Tim Burton himself working on a Hawaiian-set sequel but that never got anywhere, soI can see this disappearing down the same rabbit hole as well.
I'm a big fan of the original and not sure a "reboot" is in order. But then I've been saying that a lot these past few years and nobody seems to be listening.
