The Alan Partridge Movie Is Coming Next Year.

Ahh Haaaa. The phrase that has followed Steve Coogan since creating the legendary Alan Partridge will now ring out through Cinemaplexes from next year.

The man himself has broken the silence on the forever muted Partridge movie saying this:

"We left it behind for a while, but we came back to it because we got a few ideas.

We’re writing it right now, going to shoot it next year. Don’t know who will direct it, but Pete Baynham [Borat] and Armando Iannucci are writing it with me. We’ve already started it."

As a massive fan of the character I couldn't be happier to hear about this. The fact that Coogan continues to produce hilarious products featuring Partridge shows how durable the character can be and although I think it's a little risky transferring it to the big screen I still think it will succeed.
