Good god the reboots keep coming and its Highlander's turn this time. Summit Entertainment have got the rights to this one and are actively looking for a director.
A script has apparently been completed by Art Macum and Matt Holloway, who worked on Iron Man, with an update by Melissa Rosenberg of Twilight fame. Yes, Twilight.
I'm not going to go into another rant, I think I've said what needs to be said in the Point Break story earlier, but I will say that this must stop now. Seriously, stop the remakes, yes remakes, because that's what they are.
I wonder if the plot of this one will be "Born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1518, Connor Macleod is immortal. When he is wounded in battle but does not die, he is banished from his village. He meets another like himself, Ramirez, who teaches him swordsmanship--the only way to kill another immortal is to take his head--and the ways of the immortals. Modern-day New York is the location of "The Gathering," where Connor and the few remaining immortals must battle to the last for "The Prize."
It will? Oh well then it's a remake. Let's see who they cast in the leads, I bet you a million kronor that they can't find a Belgium to play the scot and a Scot to play the Spaniard. Can they?
