The Descendants Poster Revealed

Its been about seven years since Alexander Payne last made a movie. That movie was Sideways. So you can imagine how excited I am that a one sheet has been released for his new movie.

Yes, its just a poster, but any fresh news about a new Payne project is cause for celebration in my book.

The Descendants stars George Clooney as a land baron who tries to reconnect with his daughters after the death of his wife in a boating accident.

As you can tell from the poster this looks like it's going to be a little more sombre that the quirky Sideways but never the less I have high expectations.

Sideways is just a brilliant film, truly magnificent and alongside Election (also great) and About Schmidt (savagely overlooked) Payne has a solid back-lot of work. The Descendants is due to be released toward the end of the year.
