Fox have announced that the Mr Men will be starring in their own movie, animation mixed with live action, with an option for a sequel dependant on box office success. Or more closer to the truth, merchandising revenue.
Garfield, Chipmunks, Yogi Bear, The Smurfs and now the Mr Men, is nothing sacred anymore? Surely if the reviews and reception of said films have taught us anything it's that this just doesn't work. When will they get the message?
Those with a youngster will no doubt have seen the 'new' Mr Men series on Five, those who haven't let me tell you, they suck. There's weird new Mr Men too (Mr Rude, Mr Stubborn, Mr Scatterbrain) who no doubt will star in the movie.
Dear Hollywood, leave my childhood cartoon memories alone.
