Sometimes a gritty British movie comes out of nowhere and becomes an instant hit. Trainspotting and Lock stock immediately spring to mind.

And then there are those that get criminally underrated like Dead Man's Shoes which, in my opinion, is far better than the ones above.

Well Paddy Considine starred in Dead Man's Shoes and Tyrannosaur is his directorial debut. And what a debut to make because the trailer looks phenomenal.

Dark, gritty and shocking, this is what filmaking is all about. Domestic abuse and alcoholism are the order of the day here so no doubt this is going to challenge the viewer throughout.
