Well it's a very slow news day today and the only thing that I can find that's even remotely interesting is a little bit of doom and gloom news I'm afraid.
News has emerged that Ron Howard's adaptation of Stephen King's series of Dark Tower novels has hit a stumbling block.
Yes it seems that Universal are having second thoughts on proceeding with the films and TV Series due to budget constraints. Even scarier is the fact that they have a bit of a track record with canning potential big budget movies after cancelling the proposed Guillermo Del Toro horror Mountains Of Madness. Gulp.
I'd be very surprised to see them shelf the entire project, maybe just concentrate on one film and see how it goes, but then I don't know the novels and can't say if one film would be enough to satisfy it's primary audience. It also won't help that Howard's last film, The Dilemma, bombed and was pretty much critically panned.
It's all just hearsay at the moment but if anything else is announced you'll be the first to know.
