Has the world gone mad? Has Hollywood just finally admitted to a complete lack of originality everywhere? The answer after finding out the following story must be a resounding YES.
Yup, you read the title of this post right, Warner Bros. are planning prequels and sequels to Ridley Scott's classic Blade Runner. It doesn't stop there, they've also acquired TV rights with animation prospects on the horizon.
This is not a joke. This is not some wild, crazy rumour floating around the web, this is cold hard fact. I think this finally means that rather than optioning bold, new, original movies the preferable option now is to re-do absolutely every single film that's ever been made.
That's right, we'll soon be seeing prequels to classics such as Apocalypse Now 2: The Legend Of Kurtz Gold, Shawshank Redemption 2: Andy and Red's Big Day Out and Goodfellas 2: Gooderfellas.
Shoot me in the face now.
