The BAFTA's took place last night and as predicted there were no real shocks, The Kings Speech sweeps the board, but misses out slightly oddly on one.
The Kings Speech wins Best Film (including Best British), Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor & Actresses but Tom Hooper misses out on the Best Director nod? Surly its the director who drives the film and the performances?
it's he who sets the tone and challenges the actors, and its his work that transformers the words from the screenplay to film, so how has he not won? It's like saying "yes the film and actors are good but it wasn't down to you I'm afraid", it doesn't make sense to me.
Anyhow, here's the complete list including the winners in bold.
