Plot
Four guy friends, all of them bored with their adult lives, travel back to their respective 80s heydays thanks to a time-bending hot tub.
Review
I went in with mediocre expectations and was pleasntly surprised. Ok its not going to win any awards but its daft, had the audience laughing a bit and is just complete escapism.
The plot is quite daft but its basically about a couple of guys who take their friend away for the weekend to 'save' him from self destruction. John Cusack's - Adam - young nephew comes along for the ride too. So they arrive at this place that they had frequented in the 80's to find its a bit run down and not what they expected. In their room there is a hot tub, which after a few drinks and a spillage of some crazy Russian drink transports them back to 1986. Its all about them getting back to the future whilst keeping the future intack or there abouts.
A few life lessons learnt, like dont make a bet that a squirrel can sabotage and it is ok to use your knowledge of the future for personal gain, they end up back in 2010 and its happy wonderful ending. I came out smiling a little bit as it was just a slice of daftness pie wrapped up into about 1 hour 40 ish.
